Giving credit where it is due

As we close out 2008 and look forward into 2009, it has been quite a year for Changing Your Weighs. We began as a new venture looking to better the health of the patients at Town Center Medical Group. Word got out about our success and we branched out accepting patients referred to us from many sources. We can thank word of mouth and what I like to call my, "walking success stories." My patients are my walking success stories. They share with their friends and family where they where an how they have gotten to where they are. While I have been following over the past year the hard work is that of each and every patient. It isn't limited to measuring and weighing food. It isn't writing down the recommended 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water. It isn't reporting the daily activity. The hard work is sticking to the recommendations and making it work in everyday life. For that I congratulate each and every person who started, stayed, and lost weight. They have gained better health. THANK YOU.

The facts speak for themselves. We enrolled 154 new patients. The average starting weight was 224 pounds. The average current weight at the close of 2008 was 204. As a group we have lost 3019.8 pounds for an average of almost 20 pounds per person. Our "biggest loser" has lost over 100 pounds with many in the 40, 50, and 60 pound range. We had over a dozen people get to their goal weight and transition into maintenance.

As we begin 2009 we hope to enroll many more new patients and start them onto the path of Changing Your Weighs.
